Turbulence via intermolecular potential: A weakly compressible model of gas flow at low Mach number

In our recent works, we proposed a theory of turbulence in inertial gas flow via the mean field effect an intermolecular potential. We found that, flow, indeed spontaneously develops from laminar initial condition, just as observed nature and experiments. However, also that density temperature behave unrealistically model. The goal current work is to demonstrate technical possibility modeling compressible, turbulent at low Mach number where both more realistic fashion. Here, focus on new treatment pressure variable, which constitutes compromise between incompressible, flow. Similar incompressible equation for variable artificial, rather than derived directly kinetic formulation. unlike only damps divergence velocity, instead setting it zero. find weakly compressible model much like does model, but realistically.
